The energy in this painting is palpable, an electric dynamism that dodges and weaves through rugged celestial terrain, illuminated by a river of light carving its way across the canvas.
The name, “We’ve Come So Far”, reflects looking back at the journey, appreciating the ebbs and flows, the twists and turns of life. Taking stock of the life you’ve made and choosing to celebrate the progress, the beauty and the wonder.

ABOUT THE COLLECTION
This collection of imagined landscapes evolved from a place of meditative contemplation, inviting the viewer to slow down, press pause on the relentlessness of modern life and engage with the human need for wonder.
From across the room the sinuous rivers of light and twinkling stars draw you in for closer inspection. Once you’re in its orbit, you notice the spatters, the flecks of paint, the brushstrokes and the drips, simultaneously revealing and celebrating the medium itself.
This texture is layered slowly and thoughtfully, constellations and nebulous clouds gathering around forms that defy gravity and feel at once both solid and ephemeral. Each scene reveals itself gradually, the sense of distance and scale developing with each subsequent layer, resulting in complex hues and inimitable depth that appear to emerge from the ether.
Each painting takes its name from a familiar turn of phrase, grounding these cosmic landscapes in the everyday. These paintings may have their head in the clouds, but their feet are firmly planted in our ordinary, precious, sentient lives. “In the Neighbourhood” speaks to a long distance friend popping in for a visit. “We’ve Come So Far” reflects looking back at a journey, appreciating the ebbs and flows as you navigate the twists and turns of life. “Won’t You Stay a While” offers a place to rest, to catch your breath when life feels like a rollercoaster.
